China's first PPP high-speed railway put into operation

Hangzhou - China's high-speed railway rail controlled by private capital was launched on Saturday in Zhejiang province of East China.

Two trains left from the Taizhou station and the Station of Shengzhou Xinchang, marking the official opening. of the Intercity Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou railway. It is between the first group of high-speed railroad projects financed by a public-private partnership (PPP), with the private sector that has a standby state.

With a total investment of almost 44.9 billion yuan (over $ 7 billion), the 266.9 kilometers line was designed with eight stops and to facilitate 350 kilometers per hour speeds.

The construction of the railroad began in 2017. The placement work was completed in June. 2021.

At the beginning, the local railroad department will organize 35 pairs of trains from multiple electrical units (EMU).

It will take 63 minutes to travel between Hangzhou and Taizhou at maximum speed.
