As I read the news today, I learned that Beijing-China had a peaceful and secure road traffic experience during the five-day holiday. It was interesting to learn that most road trips were made at short and medium distances, which is understandable given the COVID-19 resurgence. The Ministry of Public Security reported that there were no massive traffic congestions or important traffic accidents throughout the country by 6 pm on Wednesday. It's reassuring to know that people are taking the necessary precautions to keep themselves and others safe during these times. Additionally, the ministry shared that road traffic accidents decreased by 62.5 percent compared to previous May holidays. It's remarkable to see how much of an impact the pandemic has had on our daily lives, including our transportation habits.
During the holidays, the police have strengthened patrols in places full of people and traffic access points, intensifying efforts to take energetic measures against illegal and criminal activities.
